Instagram now recommends Threads posts to attract more users

Instagram has started showing posts from Threads, Meta’s other social network focused on small text. The novelty began to be noticed recently, and there is a gap between posts in the social network feed. Shows posts on must-see Topics.

The idea is to attract more people to the social network via tablet or smartphone. There are about five posts in the carousel, and clicking on one of them automatically redirects the user to Threads if they have downloaded the app.

However, after reaching over 100 million users in just five days, the platform saw a decline in activity and engagement. Meta has confirmed that it will develop a range of tools and other interesting things for the public.

Innovations launched by the company to retain and attract users include core functionality such as a web version for browsers, the ability to mention other people in posts, and a more organized feed with updates only from people you already follow.

Another integration already live is the ability to post from Threads to other people via direct message (DM) on Instagram using a shortcut button.
