One of the key features of the update is Optic ID, a technology that uses iris scanning to authenticate the user, similar to Face ID and Touch ID. The system will enable Optical ID after determining if the user’s iPhone is nearby and unlocked. In case the scan doesn’t work, the user will see a virtual keyboard to enter the password.

The update also brings new system icons, a “No Wi-Fi” icon, and alerts for media loading during FaceTime calls. Specifically, Apple has added accessibility options that allow users to control the Vision Pro with alternative gestures.

However, the update states that mouse support will not be available at launch.

Vision Pro is scheduled to launch in 2024, which gives Apple time to develop these features before the public launch of VisionOS.
