The founder and CEO of the Pikabu portal, Maxim Khryashchev, left the project. In September 2022, the owner of Peekaboo changed, after which Khryashchev became the general director of the project, but now he has completely left it. Khryashchev has run Peekaboo since its founding 14 years ago.
Maxim Khryashchev left the Peekaboo portal he founded. He wrote about it on his social network page.
“As of this week I no longer have any relationship with the operational management of Peekaboo,” Khryashchev wrote.
Khryashchev founded Pikabu in 2009 and served as its CEO.
“It was 14 wonderful years – the path from an apartment startup with no money in the first years to an audience of 30 million people a month,” said Maxim Khryashchev.
In September 2022, Pikabu changed ownership – it became the company of the State Duma deputy Alexei Nechaev. Alatir Media JSC became the owner of a 100% stake in Pikabu LLC. Maxim Khryashchev remained the general director of the project.
The Pikabu portal is one of the most popular and most visited resources of the Runet. According to its own data, it receives around 2 million unique visitors every day, while the portal has more than 3 million readers in total.
