The center was called the “Space Cluster,” and six of the region’s leading businesses and seven colleges were involved in its establishment. The main purpose of the cluster is to train professional personnel.
In the framework of the federal project “Profession”, a cluster focused on mechanical engineering was opened. It was created on the basis of a branch of the Omsk Aviation College named after Zhukovsky. The region is showing dynamic growth in the sector, so new technologies require a new approach to staff training. The cluster can help with this.
According to experts, students will have the opportunity to gain a specialization in a short time and students will be promised more employment. The trainings will take place in a new way in line with personnel requests from potential employers, and besides the training program, students will have plenty of practice.
