Moscow authorities approved new measures to support venture investors investing in start-ups participating in the Moscow Innovation Cluster. The city treasury compensates half of the investments to those who decide to support start-up capital entrepreneurs.
On the website of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, it is reported that venture investors who invest in startups participating in the Moscow Innovation Cluster will receive a municipal grant of 50% of the investment amount.
At the same time, the amount of compensation cannot exceed the amount of personal income tax paid during the last three years.
“For venture investors interested in the development of these projects, the participation procedure has been approved: the maximum grant is up to 10 million rubles, while the amount of funds invested from the beginning of the year must be at least 500 thousand rubles,” he said. said the mayor.
The application establishes a series of conditions to receive financial support:

a member of the cluster that receives investments must be included in the register of start-ups and technology companies;

the participation of each of the legal entities in the authorized capital of the startup does not exceed 50%;

the investor’s share in the authorized capital of the startup did not exceed 15% within the 12 months prior to the application submission date.
