The total share of Windows family operating systems in Steam is 96.61%. Operating systems based on the Linux kernel occupy 1.82%, while Apple’s operating systems are used by 1.57% of users.
Interestingly, Windows 11 is the most popular among gamers, while other categories of users are not too keen on switching to a new system. According to the latest Statcounter report, the overall market share of Windows 11 is around 27%.
