All international transfers and payments for foreign services have been suspended since September 5 by the Oson and PayWay payment systems. The decision of the companies is explained by the requirement of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

Oson and PayWay suspend international transfers from September 5

Payments within the country, transfers between Uzcard and Humo, as well as payment for public services, communications and the Internet will continue to work on PayWay. Oson promised that services will be restored in the near future.

At the end of August 2023, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan imposed a fine on the payment organization Brio Group (Oson brand). According to the local regulator, the payment service violated the law on the fight against the legalization of the proceeds of crime and the financing of terrorism when carrying out payment transactions.
