DigiTimes sources say that Apple plans to launch a new line of MacBooks in 2024 to compete with Chromebooks in education.

This line will be different from the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. The case of laptops is still metal, but it is “composed of different metals”, and the mechanical parts are lower.

The timing of the launch of the new MacBook series is not related to this activity of large Apple suppliers such as Quanta Computer and Foxconn. This makes launching early next year incredible. Most likely, the announcement will occur in the second hour of the year.

According to DigiTimes Research, vendors shipped over 13.9 million Chromebooks in 2019, 30.4 million in 2020, and 33.5 million in 2021.
