Child mode has been added to the Russian app store RuStore. Parents had the opportunity to customize the content viewing and search results depending on the age of the child, as well as manage purchases, says the message VK (developing RuStore).

The RuStore app store has launched a child mode

Parents can choose one of the options for the age of the child: preschool, school or adolescent; this will depend on the apps you see.

Preschoolers only watch children’s content with no objectionable material; school: apps and games suitable for the whole family, but may contain dynamic content; Teens have access to more adult content.

RuStore also added collections in the new mode, which contain a list of useful apps and games and change depending on the selected age of the child.

You can activate the child mode, select the age of the child and set a PIN code in the profile settings in RuStore.

RuStore is a Russian mobile application store for Android, developed by VK together with the largest Russian IT companies with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation. Since its launch in May 2022, RuStore’s monthly audience in Russia has exceeded 12.5 million people. More than 12,000 apps from 7,000 developers are available on the store. RuStore completed beta testing in February 2023.
