The Pikabu portal, after the departure of the founder and CEO Maxim Khryashchev, appointed a new CEO: guitarist and businessman David Mandelstam became him on September 6. This is clear from the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, which caught the attention of RB.RU.

According to the Kontur.Focus system, Mandelstam is a co-founder of the Kaliningrad company Beta LTD, specializing in wholesale trade. There he owns 8%. The remaining shares are redistributed between Zhanna and Elena Mandelstam (33% and 8% respectively), as well as Alexander Tomkin (50%). The company exists since 1995.

Also, now David Mandelstam is registered as a self-employed person and until 2019 he worked as an individual entrepreneur. In this state he taught the guitar course “Music theory without boredom”. The website of this project is still up available.

Mandelstam himself states on the course’s website that he is “interested in music, the guitar and everything related to it.”

In early September, its founder and CEO Maxim Khryashchev left the project. Khryashchev has run Peekaboo since its founding 14 years ago.

In September 2022, Pikabu changed ownership to the company of State Duma deputy Alexei Nechaev. Alatir Media JSC became the owner of a 100% stake in Pikabu LLC.

The Pikabu portal is one of the most popular and most visited resources of the Runet. According to its own data, every day it receives around 2 million unique visitors, while in total the portal has more than 3 million readers.
