Until the end of 2023, VK will adapt the Russian RuStore app store to the domestic Aurora mobile operating system. After release, developers will have to adapt their applications to the operating system independently.
RuStore should become the main public application store for the national mobile ecosystem. Initially, the focus will be on the distribution of corporate applications for the b2b segment, Vedomosti learned.
Developers of solutions for Aurora will have the opportunity to monetize them through RuStore: they will have access to downloading applications, connecting store technologies, including payments, push notifications, etc.
About 5 thousand applications have been published on RuStore and 3.5 thousand editors are registered on the platform. In the applications you can make in-app purchases, pay for subscriptions and paid applications with a bank card, through SBP and from your mobile phone account.
- RuStore left beta in February 2023 and opened access to foreign developers.
The app store is being developed by VK with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development.
