Russian low-cost airline Pobeda plans to start selling food and drinks on board in 2024, as well as introduce a system for distributing entertainment content on planes. This was told to RBC by Pobeda general director Dmitry Tyshchuk.
According to Tyschuk, the foods will be non-perishable snacks in packages that will eliminate the need for the airline to pick up trash. Tyshchuk did not report the prices of food and drinks, nor their variety.
Pobeda currently provides drinking water to passengers free of charge upon request. In addition, starting this year, the company offers the “Food at the door” service: upon boarding, a passenger can receive a meal set worth up to 1,490 rubles.
Also in 2024, Pobeda intends to introduce a system for distributing entertainment content to passengers’ devices.
Tyshchuk noted that the share of additional services in Pobeda’s revenue amounts to up to 15%; In monetary terms, this year it amounts to 8.8 billion rubles.
