The number of active vacancies with hybrid work schedules increased 2.4 times year-on-year in September. Along with the increase in the number of vacancies of this type, the interest of job seekers in this employment format has also increased. At the same time, the number of vacancies with completely remote work arrangements has decreased significantly.
In Russia, the number of vacant positions offering a hybrid employment format increased 2.4-fold year-on-year. Avito Works specialists came to this conclusion after analyzing their platform data for September 2023 and 2022.
The hybrid work format involves combining the employee’s presence in the office and remote work.
During the analyzed period, job seekers’ interest in the hybrid employment format also increased. They began to respond more often to such vacancies: in the field of personnel management – 1.8 times more, in the banking sector – 1.5 times.
“The remote work format was incredibly relevant in 2020-2022, as it ensured compliance with epidemic safety measures without practically any damage to the efficiency of companies. Now the urgent need has passed, but there is a need on the part of the workers,” said Dmitry Puchkov, development director of Avito Rabota.
At the same time, the number of vacancies involving exclusively remote work decreased by 46%. In the banking, accounting, marketing, advertising, public relations, sales and law sectors, the supply was reduced on average by half, and in the IT and administration sectors – by 1.8 times.
