Musk, along with rocket engineer Jim Cantrell and his former college roommate Adeo Ressi, held a business meeting with Russian businessmen. The trip included a stop in Paris, where Musk warmed up after a night of partying.
In Russia, the meeting took place in the back room of a restaurant and included “large gulps of vodka interspersed with small snacks.” As a result, Musk, who was supporting his head with his hand, lost consciousness and hit his head on the table.
After this incident, there was another unsuccessful meeting in which Russian businessmen increased the price of rockets from $18 million to $21 million and sarcastically asked Musk: “Oh my God, don’t you have any money?”
