Road congestion, traffic jams, accidents, alarmingly high levels of harmful emissions and a shortage of drivers – these transport sector problems are getting worse every year. Various options are being considered around the world to solve them. One of them is the use of off-road transport. For example, Unitsky String Technologies Inc. proposes to use the uST transport and infrastructure complex, an overpass with passenger stations or charging terminals, along which unmanned electric vehicles on steel wheels travel at speeds of up to 150 km/h .
However, conservatives, as has happened more than once in history, are not always ready to move to the next level. Meanwhile, the technology is confirmed by patents and incorporated into the finished product by the engineering company Unitsky String Technologies Inc. The next step is the widespread use of uST complexes. The company will do so when it convinces its customers that the transportation sector has been prepared for changes for a long time and demands the same of them.
How does UST Inc. solve this problem even with not one but two stars?
On the way to a dream
The history of “second-level” unmanned vehicles began with the bold idea of the company’s general designer and author of the invention, Anatoly Yunitsky. At Stratum, the technology has been criticized more than once and conservative clients were skeptical about the possibility of implementing such a project.
Despite this, in 2021 the company presented a finished product: uST transportation and infrastructure solutions. At that time UST Inc. had a team of 600 engineers, two test and demonstration centers (in Belarus and the United Arab Emirates), as well as its own production. In the same year, the complex developed by the company received a certificate of compliance with the safety requirements of the TUV SW organization.
The uST solution compares favorably with the competition. In particular, the construction of an overpass requires minimal land acquisition and does not alter the natural landscape of the area, and the cost of the work is several times more affordable than that of infrastructure for other types of transportation.
The complex includes unmanned electric railway vehicles, which are characterized by low energy consumption, and their operation has a positive impact on the environment due to the absence of exhaust gases, tire wear products and other polluting waste.
Placing the track high above the ground minimizes the risk of collision with foreign objects or pedestrians. Problems such as traffic jams or human errors are excluded.
The company is negotiating with several potential customers and implementation options are already being worked out. This indicates the high pace of the process of introducing the product to the market, says general director of UST Inc. Nadezhda Kosareva.

According to the experience of well-known high-tech companies, in less than 100 years not a single widely distributed solution has become popular. For example, the electric vehicle market existed and even flourished long before Martin Eberhard, Mark Tarpenning and, even more so, Elon Musk. Since the early 20th century, electric cars have not been exotic on American streets. But only now are electric cars becoming a truly mass product.
New challenges
Great interest in UST Inc. technologies shown by Asian and Arab countries. The rapid development of their economies and the growth of cities require new logistics solutions and technologies, which the company has available. Negotiations are underway with Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and India.
The company also has big plans in the Russian market. Product UST Inc. performs well in terms of import substitution: the vast majority of elements for uST complexes are created internally by the company. There are no problems with the materials needed to create transport and infrastructure complexes. It is quite possible that they will be provided by the production capacities of Belarus and Russia.
Against the backdrop of recent economic events, UST Inc. has opened another window of opportunity, says Nadezhda Kosareva: “We develop transportation and infrastructure complexes to solve logistical problems. We meet with officials and businessmen, demonstrate our capabilities, receive requests and work with them. So far, the process is not moving as quickly as we would like: people need time to trust technologies that are unfamiliar to them. But I repeat: for innovators in the field of transportation, we are advancing towards our goal by leaps and bounds.”
UST Inc. can help not only with traditional transportation: there are many other tasks where the company’s technologies come in handy. For example, in the development of Arctic regions and territories with complex terrain. Or in the creation of crossings where they are urgently needed, in particular, across the Lena River in Yakutia, where it is impossible to install supports for the construction of a bridge.
Best presentation: work technology
Finding clients is hard work that can’t be stopped. The company’s specialists participate in exhibitions, negotiate with officials, form a lobby among professionals who can evaluate the advantages of the technology and present it to a potential client, even if it is an official in the transport sector at the municipal, regional or national. .
In order to solve all stages of construction and demonstrate that the company is ready to take on non-standard projects, the “Unilite” tourist complex was built on the territory of the Belarusian ecological park, intended for the transportation of goods and visitors. to the tourist area.
Authority and high competence of UST Inc. is confirmed by accreditation as a scientific organization in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the State Committee for Science and Technology, as well as hundreds of patents for inventions, industrial designs and registered trademarks in dozens of countries around the world.
But even with such strong arguments, the process of negotiations with large companies or government officials from different countries takes years, from answering general questions to working out a possible route and agreeing on technical aspects. The company is prepared for this because it understands: a turning point is coming in the history of UST Inc. and perhaps the transportation industry itself.
