The Picodi service published a study in which it compared the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro 128 GB with the average salaries of citizens of different countries.
The countries in which iPhones will be officially sold were assessed. So Russia is not on the list.
According to the data obtained, the pandemic in Switzerland and the USA is the least likely to work to save money for a new iPhone. This will take 4.2 and 5.3 days, respectively.
The worst result is in Turkey, where campaigns work for 123.7 days to save up for a new iPhone. The Philippines and Brazil rank second and third with 79.5 and 66.6 days respectively.
And here is the “iPhone Index” in the Baltic countries over the past 6 years:
▪️ 2018. Latvia: 33.3 days, Lithuania: 34.6 days, Estonia: 22.4 days
▪️ 2019. Latvia: 31 days, Lithuania: 25.3 days, Estonia: 21.2 days
▪️ 2020. Latvia: 30 days, Lithuania: 27.8 days, Estonia: 21 days
▪️ 2021. Latvia: 27.1 days, Lithuania: 24.9 days, Estonia: 19.8 days
▪️ 2022. Latvia: 28.4 days, Lithuania: 25.4 days, Estonia: 21 days
▪️ 2023. Latvia: 23.5 days, Lithuania: 21.1 days, Estonia: 17.8 days
To obtain data for the study, Picodi allocated a salary of 21 – this is the average number of working days in a month. In countries where statistical agencies use weekly rates, income was divided by 5.
