British startup Jiffy, founded by Russian founders, raised the first $2.2 million after a pivot. Instead of delivering products, Jiffy now develops IT solutions for e-commerce. Since operating as a delivery service, Jiffy has raised $35 million.
Jiffy Software (formerly Jiffy Grocery) raised $2.2 million from 2BF Global Ventures, Somersault Ventures, AddVenture, LVL1 and other investors. The deal was reported by vc.ru. The service’s co-founders did not respond to RB.RU’s request for details of the deal.
The startup will use the funds raised to develop a warehouse management system and a loyalty program, as well as for marketing and sales investments.
Fast food delivery service Jiffy Grocery was created in 2021 by former head of X5 Food Tech Vladimir Kholyaznikov, co-founder of food vending machine network DC Daily Arthur Shamalov and Igor Demishev.
In December 2021, the startup started thinking about developing alternative business models because it saw the preconditions for an economic crisis in which it would be difficult to attract investment.
Jiffy Grocery changed strategy in March 2022, selling assets and laying off employees. Jiffy Software is now a developer of IT solutions (SaaS, on-remise) for the e-commerce market.
While working in the food delivery niche, Jiffy Grocery raised $35 million from Heartland, Flint Capital, Baring Vostok, and the founders of Playrix.
