Apple has named Tim Millett, vice president of architecture, as head of the Apple Watch blood glucose reduction team.

Millet’s group now leads the Research Project Group, or XDG, which has been developing a non-invasive blood glucose sensor for many years. Its previous head was Bill Athas, but he died unexpectedly at the end of 2022.
