Yandex has renamed the Ilya Segalovich Prize to the Yandex ML Prize. The geography of the award has been expanded to eleven countries and the number of nominations to five. Applications for the award are accepted until October 16, the award will be made in December.
Yandex has opened registrations for the annual scientific prize named after the company’s co-founder, Ilya Segalovich. This was reported by the Yandex press service.
This year, the geography of the award has expanded to 11 countries. Now it can be applied for by specialists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The number of nominations has increased to five: “First Publication”, “Researchers”, “Young Scientific Supervisors”, “Research Supervisors” and “ML Professors”.
The prize amount ranges from 500 thousand to 1 million rubles. Applications are accepted on the award website until October 16, the delivery will take place in December. The winners will be selected by the awards council.
Yandex will present awards named after Ilya Segalovich for the fifth time. Over the course of 4 years, 39 young researchers and scientific supervisors were awarded, Yandex reported.
