The original Ray-Ban Stories allowed users to take photos and videos and also included a microphone and speakers for audio recording and playback. But according to some data, they have not gained significant popularity: less than 10% of buyers use them regularly.

Despite this, Meta* is reportedly preparing second-generation glasses that will allow livestreaming of extremists on Facebook* and Instagram*. The new smart glasses are expected to have longer battery life and improved cameras, and the release date is planned for fall or spring 2024.
