The code name of the new product is “Brooklin”. Information about the device was unexpectedly leaked from FTC documents.
The console will have a cylindrical design and will be supplied without a disk drive. Microsoft’s internal documentation states that the device will be equipped with 2TB of memory, a USB-C port with fast charging support, and an “all-new, more immersive controller.”
The new controller, codenamed “Sebile,” will be released in late 2023 for $69.99.
It will be equipped with an accelerometer that allows you to “simply lift” it to activate it. The controller will also support direct cloud connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, and an updated “Xbox Wireless 2” connection.
Inside, the new Xbox Series X will support Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and a smaller 6 nm die for better efficiency. The power of the power supply will decrease by 15%. The price will remain at $499, the same as the current Xbox Series X.
