The electric car manufacturer Atom, in a closed mailing for future customers, showed what a functional model of the electric car platform looks like. This is what he said in a statement.
The photos were received by people who made a preliminary reservation for an electric car. The brand announced the preparation of 13 functional samples of the platform and the start of its tests at special test sites in Russia and China. Atom also announced the deadline to accept pre-orders: September 30.
The samples represent a completely ready solution for the production version of the platform, the bottom part of the electric vehicle, which was developed by Atom engineers.
Testing will continue until mid-2024 and will include chassis tuning, steering and brake system calibration, thermostat and electric motor tuning, and ADAS system calibration.
The Atom electric car concept was first presented on May 11, 2023 and Russian and Italian designers worked on it. The dimensions are 3995 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1615 mm high.
The power of the plant has not yet been revealed. The battery capacity is up to 77 kWh. It was reported that it would take between 7 and 8 seconds to accelerate to the first hundred, the maximum speed would be limited to 170 km/h and the range would be 500 km on a single charge. Atom is planned to launch into mass production in 2025.
