Scientists from Kaspersky Lab have developed a neural network that can analyze daily decisions made during sleep. This means that after active work during the day, the neural network can reconsider its decisions and analyze the information in more detail.

Project manager Andrey Lavrentyev explained that during the working day the neural network sometimes has to make quick decisions, which is not always the best due to limited time. He can return to these decisions in his sleep, process more information, and perhaps come to better conclusions. Thus, the neural network “learns” from its daily experiences and applies them in the future.

This approach, known as spike networks, offers new opportunities for creating artificial intelligence that can process events and has elements of memory and attention. This opens broad prospects for the development of self-learning neural networks and future artificial intelligence technologies.
