The first Russian citric acid production plant will be built in the Tula region

Organic Acids LLC will build Russia’s first citric acid production plant in a special economic zone in the Tula region. This was reported by the press service of the FSK group of companies.

FSK also announced the purchase of Organic Acids, becoming the owner of 80% of the company.

“This line of business is extremely interesting, since today all the citric acid imported into Russia comes from China,” said FGC President Vladimir Voronin.

The production volume of the plant will be 20 thousand tons of products per year, with a subsequent increase to 60 thousand tons. The start of the first phase of production is planned for the second quarter of 2025.

The plant will be managed by new management within the FSK group, which will be headed by the General Director of Organic Acids.

According to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, 80% of Organic Acids LLC belongs to Orgsintez Prolab LLC, 20% to general director Andrey Krushinsky. The company was founded in June 2022 and at the end of 2022 it achieved revenue of 30 thousand rubles with a net loss of 3.4 million rubles.
