In 2022, 140 thousand of these smartphones were sold for a total of 14 billion rubles. However, in 2023, these figures increased to 400 thousand devices and 46 billion rubles, respectively.

Total smartphone sales in the third quarter of 2023 amounted to 8.1 million devices worth 181 billion rubles. Despite the increase in sales of expensive models, the majority of Russians (60%) still prefer smartphones in the price range from 5 to 15 thousand rubles.

Particular attention should be paid to sales of Apple products: they doubled in the third quarter. The reason for this is the expectation that the dollar exchange rate will rise, the launch of the new iPhone 15 and the interest in the iPhone 14.

Experts also note that buyers are trying to buy gadgets in advance, as they are afraid of a possible increase in prices due to instability in the ruble.
