Google introduced a new generation of its Pixel smartphones. The devices were equipped with a new chip and new generation screens. Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro became the first smartphones to receive a seven-year Android update program.
Google announced the start of sales of new generation Pixel smartphones. The company unveiled the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro at the Made By Google event.
Both devices were equipped with new generation Actua Display and Super Actua Display screens. Additionally, new Tensor G3 chips have been installed in smartphones with support for 8 or 12 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of physical memory.
The Pixel 8 has a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with autofocus, in addition to a 10.5MP front camera. Pixel 8 Pro is equipped with an additional 48MP telephoto lens and the ultra-wide-angle lens expands to 48MP.
Additionally, the Pro version is equipped with a sensor to measure the temperature of surrounding objects.
Google has introduced artificial intelligence algorithms in smartphones to improve the quality of photos and videos. The Pro version will later be complemented by the Video Boost option to adjust the lighting and color correction of the video.
Sales of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will begin in October, starting at $699 for the regular version and $999 for the Pro version.
