The minimum cost of an acceptable computer assembly today is 40-45 thousand rubles. If you try to collect something cheaper, you may not dream of a serious upgrade in the future.

For 40 thousand rubles in the fall of 2023, you can build a new computer with discrete graphics up to the GT 1030 2 GB level or Ryzen 5 5600G (with integrated graphics). As a result, you can run modern games at 60+ FPS smoothly on this integrated graphics. Then, in addition to the Ryzen 5 5600G, you can always buy a powerful graphics card: RTX 4070 or RX 7700 XT, for example.
And don’t forget that in the future, Ryzen 5 5600G can easily be replaced by Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 9 5900X.
For a cooling system for such an assembly you can get the ID-COOLING SE-226-XT. It will cost no more than 3-5 thousand rubles.
Motherboards with this feature should be chosen among the motherboards that work on B550. Required along with four RAM slots. The optimal amount of RAM in this case is 16 GB. This is enough for all games on high graphics settings. As for the frequency, absolutely all Ryzen 5000 processors will run at 3600 MHz.
Please note that the motherboard has at least 6 power phases, a good metal heatsink and a metalized PCI Express port. It is not recommended to save money and buy Chinese motherboards on AliExpress – everything in the assembly should be purchased new, branded and with a warranty in anticipation of further upgrades.
The system and gaming SSD must support NVMe. However, you can purchase a SATA SSD as a second or third drive. The volume should be from 1 TB, it is not recommended to buy less.
It is better to immediately buy a power supply of 800-850 watts. It will cost about 8-9 thousand rubles.
There are two main criteria when choosing a case. First, the tower fan, graphics card, and motherboard need to fit. Secondly, you need good ventilation from the front and choose from cases with metal mesh in online stores. A high-quality, inexpensive case will cost you 4-6 thousand rubles.
As a result, you will have an assembly that costs approximately 42-50 thousand rubles. And it is enough to make minimal changes in the future to create an assembly similar to today’s new computers costing 65-83 thousand rubles or 71-91 thousand rubles, without significantly shaking the computer configuration (see pictures above) – all components will reveal the potential of the computer in games and programs in the next few years.
