The advent of proprietary RGB lighting control software could potentially make gamers’ jobs easier by eliminating the need to use third-party software from various manufacturers. Currently, users often need to use manufacturer-specific software or third-party solutions to control RGB lighting on various devices.

Microsoft’s software aims to change this by providing a unified RGB lighting control solution in Windows 11. Settings will be integrated into the personalization menu. Here users will be able to customize RGB effects, brightness and color profiles for compatible devices. While the list of supported devices is currently limited, it is expected to expand over time.
