From January to September 2023, takeaway coffee sales fell 6% compared to the same period in 2022. This is demonstrated by the results of a study by the tax data operator Taxcom.
The results of the study were shared by RT. At the same time, the average price of takeaway coffee increased by 5% year-on-year to 188 rubles.
In addition, the company’s analysts estimated the average cost of coffee at gas stations: in September it amounted to 152 rubles, an increase of 4% compared to September 2022. At the same time, demand for the drink fell by 18% compared to with 2022.
In total, experts analyzed more than 51 billion cash collections.
It was previously reported that the most affected business sectors in the second quarter of this year were sports, medicine and food retail: their “health index” fell by between 18% and 41%.
