According to popular Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, the device will feature a “Super Telephoto” periscope zoom camera.
This means users can get close to subjects without losing the image quality made possible by a focal length of more than 300mm.
By comparison, the current iPhone 14 Pro Max only has a 77mm zoom camera, making the solution on the iPhone 16 Pro Max a real technological achievement.
Note that the use of super-telephoto cameras is most often found in sports photography or the work of wildlife shooters.
