Russian mobile operator Tele2 has reduced the cost of mobile services for customers located in Israel, amid the tense situation in the country. This is what he said in a statement.

Tele2 made communication free for customers in Israel

Subscribers of the operator in roaming can make and receive calls and use mobile Internet for free.

The special roaming regime will begin at midnight from October 9 to 10 and will operate for two weeks until October 22, with the possibility of extension depending on the evolution of Israel.

The conditions will apply even if the balance is negative and will not depend on the customer’s rate plan.

  • On the morning of October 7, the Palestinian movement Hamas launched military operation Al-Aqsa Storm, firing rockets from the Gaza Strip. Israel called what was happening a war.
  • The Federal Air Transport Agency, “due to the unstable political-military situation” in Israel, introduced restrictions on night flights to the country from Russian airports from 03:00 on October 8 “until further notice.” On the morning of October 9, Red Wings and Azimuth flights were delayed or canceled. Red Wings later announced that it had resumed regular flights with Israel.
  • The Ministry of Economic Development recommended Russians in Israel “to be vigilant”, not to approach the military and comply with the requirements of local authorities and tour operators to suspend the sale of trips to the country. The Foreign Ministry reported that it is working on evacuation measures for Russian citizens.
  • The Israel Population and Migration Authority (PIBA) has extended the validity of all visas for foreigners in the country until November 9, 2023.
