Analysts from Synergy University conducted a study on the happiness of Russians and came to interesting conclusions. It turns out that for most Russians, happiness is associated with good relationships with loved ones, health and financial stability. Surprisingly, highly educated people were happier than those without higher education.

Researchers from Synergy University surveyed more than five thousand adult citizens from across Russia to determine what makes us happy. It was revealed that almost half of the respondents (46%) were satisfied with their level of happiness in the last three months, and 38% considered themselves happy.

According to Russians, happiness depends on the quality of relationships with loved ones (88%), health (83%), financial situation (76%), an interesting job (72%), own home (70%), confidence in the future (74%), sports (53%) and active participation in social life (39%).

It is also interesting that while 68 percent of those with a university degree are happy, this figure is almost half (32%) among those with or without high school education. It has also been found that personal relationships play an important role in happiness. More than two-thirds (71%) of people with a steady partner said they were satisfied with their lives.
