The thing is, companies can be slowed down by difficulties in updating their devices to minimum requirements.
IT asset management group Lansweeper stated that the Windows 11 adoption rate was 8.35% as of October 2023, up slightly from 5.74% in September 2022.
Based on analysis of nearly 33 million Windows devices in the enterprise sector, Lansweeper concluded that the main reason for slow upgrades to Windows 11 is device incompatibility.
It is stated that approximately 67.5% of workstations can be automatically updated to Windows 11 because they have the necessary components: CPU, RAM and trusted platform module (TPM). However, this leaves 32% of devices incompatible with the new version of Windows.
