First of all, the app has been downloaded 15.6 million times, which is an impressive result. Secondly, the app generated approximately $4.6 million in revenue from iOS and Android users worldwide.
But despite these impressive numbers, revenue growth has begun to slow. While growth in July and August was 31% and 39% respectively, this figure dropped to 20% in September.
This may indicate that ChatGPT is approaching saturation of the market of mobile users willing to pay for the enhanced Plus version of the service.
It is worth noting that despite its record numbers, the platform is not the largest AI application in terms of revenue. Its rival, Ask AI, generates higher revenue thanks to an active advertising campaign.
