The YandexGPT 2 neural network solved several variants of the Unified State Exam based on translations submitted by iPhones.ru to Yandex.
YandexGPT 2 scored an average of 55 points, while the average score in Russia last year was 63 points. Thus, the neural network exceeded the threshold of 40 points for admission to the university.
The company said that this is the first time in Russia that a generative neural network has passed the Unified State Exam, completing all tasks, including the creative one.
YandexGPT 2 solved both parts of the exam. In the first, she analyzed the work and checked questions about it, in the second, she wrote an essay on a given topic. The database that was used to study the language model did not contain answers to the Unified State Exam options.
