When you start a workout for running, swimming, cycling, or anything else, Apple Watch displays five bars with different data: the time is always at the top, the rest depends on the selected activity.

The problem is that not all the data there is useful to you.

For example, on a run, I only want to know my current pace, calories burned, heart rate and distance. I don’t need to know the general tempo because sometimes I step into step, the power that came from watchOS 9 is a completely abstract concept for me.

Previously, you could change them directly from the Watch app on your iPhone, but in watchOS 9 and watchOS 10 you can only do this yourself on the watch.

How to set up metrics during training

Customization is not deep, but hidden:

1. In the Apple Watch app Workout
2. Choose the appropriate option for your activity
3. Press three do this training in the circle at the bottom at the top
4. Scroll to the bottom and click Settings
5. Click on the name of the activity with the caption “– training information»
6. When you need on the screen, press pencil icon
7. Customize the displayed metrics to suit your needs. Click on the lines and replace the required data.

In the section describing the workouts, you can also choose which card to display or not. For example, when running, add “Altitude”, “Heart Rate Zones”, “Strength” metrics and so on.

Scroll down to change the order in which they were presented during class.

Topic: I’ve been using watchOS 10 for exactly a month. This is the most incorrect update in the history of the Apple Watch
