After the court sided with Microsoft in this case, it was revealed that the FTC had filed an objection and intended to seek a federal review of the merger. The appeal hearing is scheduled for December 6.
“Although Microsoft and Activision completed the transaction ahead of a scheduled appeals court hearing in December, we remain focused on our federal appeal,” the regulator said in a statement.
