The Ministry of Industry and Trade considers it strange that the burned Wildberries warehouse in Shushary was in operation. The object did not pass all required acceptance procedures, said State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Evtukhov.
“What we know about this Wildberries center is that it was strange that it worked, but, as I understand it, it has not yet been accepted and has not gone through all the necessary procedures. <...> I think there will be more separate proceedings on this matter,” Evtujov said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
On January 13, the St. Petersburg State Construction Supervision Authority reported that the market did not apply to the department for permission to put the facility into operation. The Wildberries press service, in response to the agency’s request, reported that they had received a conclusion on compliance with all urban planning regulations and safety requirements.
Representatives of the company noted that such a document is issued on the basis of the conclusion of a commission, which includes employees of Rostekhnadzor, Gosstroynadzor and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
