Russian companies pointed to personnel shortages as the main challenge for 2023. The risk of losing key employees worries businessmen more than sanctions, the geopolitical situation and changes in competition. In turn, preserving the team has become the main business objective for the current year, according to the study.
Staff shortages and turnover, as well as burnout and lower employee motivation have become the main challenges for the Russian business community in 2023. This is demonstrated by the results of a study conducted by the consulting firm RosExpert.
The problem of staff shortages in the labor market and employee retention in the team worries 46% of the study participants, while the geopolitical situation and sanctions worry only 23%. 21% of respondents consider changes in market competition to be the main challenge of the current year, while 17% of respondents pointed to economic uncertainty.
Retaining employees in the team and developing them are the key tasks for 40% of employers for the current year, according to the study. Questions of finance, profit growth and sales volume became the main tasks for 36% of business representatives. 28% of respondents admitted that their key objective is to enter new markets and expand their business presence.
RosExpert conducted a study among 170 respondents at the level of managers of business units and key business functions.
