Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said MacBook shipments in 2023 will be down 30% year-on-year to 17 million units. This is due to the fact that Apple will not show new laptops this year.
Demand for the 15-inch MacBook Air, released in the summer, fell sharply after the start of the school year. As a result, Apple reduced its supply by at least 20%.
Kuo also added that the company will not show off the MacBook this fall due to the fact that it wants strong inventories before switching to M3 processors.
