Beeline acquired 95% of the content distribution network CDNvideo from the Chinese holding company Wangsu Science & Technology, the company’s press service reported.
CDNvideo offers services for organizing online broadcasts and content delivery. The network also provides virtual computing power and other services.
The company places its nodes in Russia (in 22 cities), the USA, Germany, Singapore, the Netherlands, Israel, Iraq, as well as in neighboring countries: Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
Beeline has been collaborating with CDNvideo for several years, says Sergei Bykov, vice president of operations at the company.
“The consolidation and transition from foreign ownership to Russian ownership makes it possible to focus on the interests of Russian clients-consumers of CDN (Content Delivery Network) services and develop the CDN network where the best quality is required from the point of view. from Beeline and CDNvideo clients,” says Bykov.
Earlier this summer, the company reported that Beeline would be the first Russian operator to test domestic 4G equipment.
