WhatsApp will reportedly roll out new functionality to all users “within the next few months.” Then you will not need to enter a password to log in to the messenger and wait for an SMS message with a confirmation code.

Facial recognition, fingerprint or pin code will be used to log in. But so far the company is only using this functionality on Android: there is no confirmation that the same feature will appear on iOS.
