Apple, Meta* and Google have received FCC approval to use 6 GHz Wi-Fi in wearable devices and cars.

Four years were added to this decision. They want to use 6 GHz Wi-Fi in the following scenarios:

▪️ Connecting AR/VR helmets to a smartphone
▪️ Data transfer between smartphone and car using CarPlay and Android Auto.

Access in the 6 GHz band will allow the company to increase the speed and stability of the connection. In particular, Apple will be able to implement fast connection between iPhone and Vision Pro, as well as improve CarPlay before launching a major update.
