Mobile devices from Russian manufacturers Fplus, Bayterg and Aquarius with the Aurora operating system will go on retail sale in November. This was reported by the Kommersant newspaper, citing market sources.
Gadgets will be presented in the lowest price segment – up to 20 thousand rubles, and discounts will also be introduced for their promotion.
The launch of products to the consumer segment will accelerate application development for Aurora and provide user experience, according to developers interviewed by the publication. However, experts warn that without the ban on Android and iOS devices, Russian devices will occupy no more than 1% of the market.
In the summer, the Ministry of Industry and Trade asked smartphone and tablet manufacturers to draw up a schedule to migrate the Aurora operating system to their devices and start bringing devices to the consumer segment.
Roskomnadzor subsequently estimated the improvement of the Aurora operating system at 300 billion rubles.
