Screenshots of one of the hacked accounts show a control panel where queries can be created for various tech giants such as Microsoft and cryptocurrency exchanges Binance and Coinbase. While there is no evidence that hackers successfully obtained tech company data through these accounts, the platform’s vulnerability does.
In response, Kodex suspended the compromised accounts and conducts ongoing security monitoring.
Meanwhile, Casio had previously reported a security breach as a result of unauthorized persons gaining access to the ClassPad server. A database containing personal data of customers from 149 countries was stolen during the incident.
