Musk is facing Digital Services Act (DSA) compliance issues and is considering cutting off access to X for users in the European Union.
This decision may be similar to *Meta’s decision, which blocked access to the new Threads app for those living in Europe.
The DSA, which came into force in August, requires major online platforms like X to have effective systems in place to moderate and eliminate false and harmful information.
Due to the spread of misinformation regarding the war between Israel and Hamas on Platform X, it is possible that Platform X is currently in violation of the DSA.
Musk, known for his harsh decisions, had previously suggested reducing the application’s access only to the USA. Given the difficulties with European regulations, it may now go even further.
*the organization is considered extremist, its activities are banned in Russia
