Measurements were carried out in October using a modern digital device Garmin Montana 700. Scientists recorded the parameters of two points (the lower stone and the upper ledge of the rock) and then calculated the absolute height of the waterfall based on the difference in the readings. .
According to Gennady Samokhin, geographer and speleologist, senior lecturer at KFU Faculty of Geography, Geoecology and Tourism, such changes in the height of waterfalls can be caused by various factors, including floods and natural disasters. In this case, the difference of 18 meters is thought to be significant, and this discovery attracts the attention of scientists and experts.
