This system, consisting of more than 190 different instruments, is designed to closely monitor the operation of a nuclear power plant with incredible accuracy.

Sergei Sobyanin noted that the radiation monitoring system has already been successfully tested and fully complies with all specified requirements. It will monitor the operation of nuclear facilities and immediately respond to deviations from the norm.

This equipment will be installed on the icebreaker “Yakutia”. This is not the first project of Moscow engineers in the field of radiation control, as they have previously installed similar systems on nuclear-powered ships “50 Let Pobedy”, “Arktika”, “Ural” and “Sibir”.
