The number of people employed in small and medium-sized businesses has reached 30 million people. In the last three years alone, the number of people working in the SME sector has increased by 7 million people, mainly due to self-employed citizens.
The number of citizens employed in the field of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia has reached 30 million people. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the government, Andrei Belousov, writes TASS.
According to Belousov, only in the last three years the number of these citizens has increased by 7 million, during this period the growth has been contributed mainly by the self-employed, who have increased by 6 million people. The number of individual entrepreneurs in three years has grown by 500 thousand people, Belousov clarified.
Previously, the Bank of Russia presented a roadmap to support small and medium-sized businesses in the period 2023-2024. It is about, among other things, creating the conditions that make it easier for companies to place shares on investment platforms.
