Tinkoff Bank has developed a technological solution that allows customers to buy foreign currency at ATMs from their ruble account, and they can now exchange rubles for dollars and euros. This was reported by the bank’s press service.

Tinkoff began exchanging currency through its ATMs.

The service is available to bank clients throughout Russia at the credit institution’s own ATMs. The exchange rate and purchase amount in rubles are automatically calculated on the day of the currency exchange.

The bank also noted that clients’ currency exchange transactions at Tinkoff ATMs are not subject to restrictions associated with the monthly limit of cash withdrawals at an ATM or with the limit of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on currency withdrawals established in March 2022.

The bank’s press service explained that currently Tinkoff ATMs are the only ones in the country that support the function of exchanging rubles for foreign currency.

At the same time, according to the Kommersant newspaper, another large bank will begin to provide a similar service in the near future. This bank has branches, but its representatives believe that currency exchange at ATMs will make the service much more accessible to customers.
